winning in convincing fashion. trump received nearly double the amount of votes second-place candidate -- marco rubio -- received. fox five's nick lagrange joins us in studio with a look at the results and reaction from the donald himself. nick? dave and maria -- this was a huge or -- 'yuge' -- win for donald trump, here in nevada. the official final vote count is not in... ...but trump is the undisputed g-o-p frontrunner in nevada with just under 46 percent of the caucus vote. so far -- trump has taken twelve of the state's 30 delegates. it's a close race for second place. rubio is currently the second-place holder at just under 24 percent... ...while ted cruz is in third at 21.4 percent. both rubio and cruz currently hold 5 of the state's delegates. if you do the math on that -- there are still eight nevada delegates yet to be awarded, though it's safe to assumethe majority of those will be trump's. once trump was projected as the nevada caucus winner -- the front-runner touted his campaign's ability to appeal to a wide

"we won with young, we won with old. we won with highly educated. we won with poorly educated. i love the poorly educated." after two primaries and two caucuses, trump has a commanding lead. he is projected to hold 79 delegates overall, when the final nevada results are tallied. ted cruz is in second with 16, rubio third with 15, kasich has five, and carson has three. the next important date on the g-o-p primary calendar is march first -- also known as 'super tuesday.' alabama, alaska, arkansas, georgia, massachusetts, minnesota, oklahoma, vermont, and their primaries. 595 delegates will be up for grabs. a distraction

high school caucus had some people concerned. folks showed up dressed up as k-k-k members, holding up donald trump signs. take a look at some of the pictures from fox5 viewers on social media: one person said the people repeatedly yelled "take our country back". one sign reads "president trump put up that wall". another reads "trump 2016, make america great again". people on both sides of the aisle took offense to the display. cruz came in third in the caucus last night. but he says he's not discouraged by the results at this point we've had four primaries. history teaches us that nobody has ever won the nomination without winning the first

and their are only two people who have one one of the first two primaries. (cheers) cruz spent several days campaigning in the silver state. supporters say they weren't discouraged by last night's loss. they say the race is between cruz and donald trump... "because he believes in the constitution and he'll protect it and believes in the second amendment to be able to keep and bare arms." "illegal immigration. to get rid of them because cruz told his supporters he is the only one who and he's shown this week, cruz also made mentions of cliven bundy's fight against the blm.. telling a crowd most of nevada's land is owned by the government... something he plans to change if elected. party organizers say about 42 thousand people registered for this caucus.

durango high school and people were able to caucus in thirty minutes. one caucus goer at durango high said the main difference he saw from years past- is the turn out. we caucused last time in 2012 and there was maybe 30 people and today is just crazy its such a huge difference. we've heard of complaints about long lines and ballot shortages. but officials with the states republican party say that speaks to the high volume of attendees, and they worked to ensure every person was able to cast their vote. the owner of a gun store in west michigan-- says the suspect in the deadly kalamazoo shooting rampage was in his store on the day of the shootings. the gun store released these surveillance images of suspect jason dalton. the owner says dalton was a regular customer at the store. police say on saturday, the 45- year-old uber driver, allegedly went to several locations in

six people were killed year old girl is hospitalized in critical condition. dalton is currently being held in jail without bond people across the southeast working to clean up this morning after a strong moved through a tornado touched down in yesterday. damaged at least three apartment complex in the there are reports that were injured... and operations are underway. the same storm system is also blamed on at least three deaths in louisiana and mississippi. in more local news... police are hoping you can help them find three burglars caught on tape. home surveillance video who broke into valley's northeast side. metro says surveillance cameras have been a great tool to help police, but as fox5's les they have a warning for those who falls victim to a burglary. sometimes social media helps out allot and sometimes no question this

last month in the valley is going to make great evidence when these perps are arrested. in this case as you can see from this video these guys took their time looking for stuff to steal. the thieves are pretty brazen. they go inside, they begin to ransack the home looking under couch cushions and drawers they ended up finding and taking both jewelry and and undisclosed amount of cash. the suspects thought they would get away with it after stealing the camera. but police say what they didn't know... the camera was connected to either a hard drive or a cloud. the last image... a close up of one of the suspects posing in front of the camera. metro pio michael rodriguez says this footage is a great tool for detectives obviously we can at least still and it works great for evidence. but there is a caveat to home surveillance footage. rodriguez says putting it out there on the internet on social media is all about timing and all about doing it after detectives have seen

birthday with her husband at the d- hotel. police haven't said how medina-brown ended up in the chute, and the case was first investigated as a homicide. her friends say the legal secretary was responsible and mature, and they're horrified to hear what happened. "worell: "i just ask god that she didnt hurt that she wasn't scared or she didnt feel alone or helpless" " the coroner is waiting on toxicology test results to officially determine how medina-brown died. her family hired lawyers based out of las vegas and reno. they are investigating the case on their own, and determining what the family wants to do next. the new t-mobile arena is hiring more than 200 workers. these will be part-time and on- call positions. and it includes service representatives, security officers and ticket office representatives. the service representatives act as v-i-p ushers in the arena's 50 luxury suites.

performer... is recovering after an accident on stage. a rehearsal of "the beatles- love" was shut down tuesday night when that performer was injured and sent to the hospital. you looking at video from a previous rehearsal. the performer fell through an opening in the stage -- but cirque would not confirm the circumstances of the accident.
